The useful thing about this shop is where it is. At 7 Zion Park Boulevard it sits at the north end of town by the pedestrian park entrance, which is the end you want to be at when the first canyon shuttle leaves at 7:00am and the town shuttle does not start until 8:00am.
Combined with evening before collection from 4pm, that solves the problem that catches most people out: you cannot get gear at six in the morning, and you cannot ride the town shuttle to the gate before eight. Collect the night before from a shop you can walk to from the entrance, and a dawn start becomes straightforward.
